Sacred Power Shift: Why Successful Women at Midlife Are Retiring Their Crowns for Priestess Leadership

Are you a successful woman who has climbed to the top of your mountain, only to discover it’s not the summit you truly seek? Have you mastered the art of external power but now feel called to a deeper, more authentic form of leadership? You’re not alone.

At 57, I stand at the threshold of a new seven-year cycle, having shed my crown and embraced my Priestess. This journey from queen to priestess wasn’t an accident and it wasn’t easy. It was however; the answer to an unyielding inner call resulting in illogical outer actions demanding the inner freedom of my authentic self-expression. This midlife threshold is a sacred opportunity that calls to many women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond—a time when our accumulated wisdom meets our soul’s deepest longing.

Throughout history, the Priestess has worn many faces—worshipped and ostracized, sought after and cast aside, celebrated for her wisdom yet persecuted for her power. The path of the Priestess has never been an easy one. She has known both the pedestal and the pyre, venerated for her gifts while simultaneously vilified for the very same abilities. We see the paradox of the Priestess—how societies have both elevated and suppressed her, cherished her wisdom while fearing her autonomy, craved her healing while rejecting her authority.

The Priestess archetype carries the weight of contradictions—honored for her connection to the divine yet condemned for that very same power, sought out in secret yet publicly denounced. Myself and many many other women on the planet are here today to bring all of these polarities into one accord, into harmony, into unity.

As a result, she is a master of unification. Practicing equanimity and neutrality she knows is the enfoldment of the whole and the access to the divine.

She embodies a leadership that differs profoundly from the traditional models that dominate our world. On my path I’ve been “schooled deeply” throughout my Sacred Soul Plan to learn not to push, control, or force—standing instead as a conduit between worlds, a bridge between the sacred and the mundane. In this space, I’m an advocate for Spiritual Ambition — humanity’s inner quest to experience its divine nature—and bringing that into tangible manifestation. I honor, celebrate and revere the divine power propelling us toward Soul Liberation through our Sacred Soul Plan.

A Priestess serves as a channel for Original Wisdom—the inherent intelligence in all Beings, rooted in unconditional love. She honors this wisdom as the fabric of our souls, and her sacred work occurs in spaces that catalyze others reconnecting with their wisdom directly. Arriving here is a continued process of transfiguration, loosening the stronghold grip on our pattern, conditioning and ego agendas. We are walking a path of intersecting LOVE and EXPRESSION and through that, our entelechy is realized.

The Priestess understands that true leadership begins with self-mastery. It’s about honoring yourself, living with compassion, kindness and love yet also with strength, majesty and power. Always with integrity to self-first, vulnerability and authenticity. When we embody the Priestess, we honor the deep communion with our Sacred Soul Signature—our divine blueprint holding the code for our highest potential.

I’ve witnessed the power of this leadership style throughout my own Sacred Soul Plan—the spiritual curriculum and life learning journey that lays the foundation for my deepest personal growth and evolution. As I move and continue to unfold and ultimately evolve from corporate striving to sovereign priestess, I experience firsthand how this form of leadership differs from the rulership of a queen. No matter what is unfolding, deep Trust is the through-line.

Much clarity has come as I’ve understood that I am still here to lead. Yet, I realize my place in the whole cannot and will not be fulfilled by anyone other than me. This is the beauty of the divine unfolding. We cannot make a wrong turn. We cannot miss what is meant to be ours. Where the queen demands allegiance, the Priestess invites integration. She recognizes that Higher Human Integration—the dynamic process of aligning your life with the power and wisdom of your soul—is the path to authentic empowerment and thus then, the path to finding our unique purpose. She doesn’t ask others to follow her blindly; she offers experiential opportunities for transformation, guided through Teaching, Ritual, Intention, Practice, and Process. All of these Soul Tripps™ have been born from my own first-hand experience.

The Priestess leader is initiated into her authentic power by evolving limited thought patterns through a possibility Mind-Set, healing destructive emotional blocks through a compassionate Heart-Set, remeding sabotaging behavior by employing new Skill-Sets and embodying her Soul-Set. This integration has freed her from the struggle of inner doubt and “not-enoughness,” allowing her to embody her natural joy, share her inherent gifts, and experience real meaning and true fulfillment.

Higher Self Embodiment is the natural expression of the Priestess’s leadership. She doesn’t just know about her Higher Self—she IS her Higher Self. She doesn’t merely think about divine wisdom—she LIVES from divine wisdom. She doesn’t seek spiritual connection—she OPERATES AS spiritual connection. She doesn’t try to be spiritual—she naturally EXPRESSES her divine nature.

In practical terms, this means the Priestess leader makes decisions from divine wisdom rather than ego. She speaks from her soul’s truth rather than conditioned responses. She leads from spiritual authority rather than positional power. And she creates from divine inspiration rather than strategic planning alone. She creates as a sacred act of expression, rather than to achieve a goal or arrive at a destination.

The world is desperately seeking this form of leadership—one that honors both our humanity and our divinity. Research shows that women in midlife are increasingly seeking more meaningful forms of power and purpose. As more women reach leadership positions yet find themselves constrained by traditional models, the call to a more authentic, spiritually-aligned path grows stronger.

The Priestess stands at the intersection of wholeness. Fully human and fully divine, both flawed and perfect, holding in unity the dark and the light, knowing deeply all of it is consciousness – the fabric of our experience. She doesn’t seek to dominate or control; she seeks to honor and elevate. She doesn’t hide from the shadows; she brings light to them with radical self-acceptance, self-trust, and self-love. She is not perfect, she is Present. She is not invulnerable, but she is enduring.

Today, I embrace my role as Priestess. I’ve taken off my crown and answered the call. I stand naked and aligned with my source. I stand with greater clarity, purpose, and power. I stand with the rising of the Divine Feminine.

My leadership is a devotion—to Source, to God, to All That Is. A devotion to the journey, bringing with it, honor, reverence, and a deep humility for the epic human experience we get to have. To ALL of it.
