Align Your Life With the Wisdom and Power of Your Higher Self
At the age of 45, I woke up. This was the same age my father was when he died. I had reached the top of the corporate ladder, looked around, and discovered that *“All This” wasn’t “All That.”
The Corporate Success Trap
Like so many driven, high-achieving women, I had been taught to derive my self-worth from metrics like quarterly P&L statements and stock prices. Yet, I found myself mentally stuck, emotionally empty, and physically depleted – even worse, cancer was growing in my chest. Despite outward success, I was spiritually disconnected and void of any higher purpose.
The Search for Wisdom and Power
Unable to find answers in the traditional sense, I sought out a psychic. In a dark room filled with incense, I poured out my anguish, desperately seeking relief. “I need to find my purpose!” I cried. The answer I received: “Spiritual Psychology.”What Is Spiritual Psychology?I had never heard of it before, so I turned to Google and found the University of Santa Monica, where I enrolled in a master’s program in Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis on Consciousness, Health, and Healing. Spiritual Psychology teaches us to see all of life’s challenges as opportunities for growth, healing and evolution toward our highest potential.
Awakening to a Higher Purpose
Six months into my studies, I had a profound experience that changed everything. While reading Pam Grout’s E2, I made a small request to the universe: “Bring me an apple.” The next day, at a Ritz-Carlton leadership conference, I encountered an elegant dessert named Apple Composition, a synchronistic moment that confirmed the universe was guiding me.
A Moment of Clarity
During the flight, I read a quote by Mark Twain that shook me:
“Twenty years from now, you’re going to be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the things you did do.”
The safe corporate life I was leading felt suffocating, and I began to realize the magnitude of what I had been suppressing.
The Day I Decided to Blossom
A second quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson brought me to tears:
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
I felt an inner shift as I realized how much I had withheld from the world. This awareness became the catalyst for my personal transformation.
A New Chapter: Spiritual Integration
I returned from the conference knowing my life was about to change. My time in corporate America had come to an end. What followed was a transformation that led me to align my life with my Higher Self. I walked away from a 30-year corporate career and embraced my true calling as a spiritual mentor and transformational coach.
